Like to venture into the magnificent paths that wind through the territory, dotted with medieval villages, gentle hills and precious vineyards? Nothing could be easier. There are countless itineraries that you can follow in the Langhe starting from Locanda San Giorgio, taking relaxing walks in nature or excursions by bicycle or on horseback. Naming them all would be impossible, but we can mention two of the most deserving: the Romantic Road of the Langhe and Roero and the Langa del Barbaresco.
The first (www.stradaromantica.com/wordpress) extends for about 130 kilometers between Vezza d’Alba and Camerana and is marked by 11 stages, one more picturesque than the other, and equipped with information panels. There are 30 naturalistic excursions and infinitely beautiful panoramic views. The Langa del Barbaresco (www.langheroero.it/langa-del-barbaresco), production area of the same name, excellent DOCG wine, includes many paths and trails that wind between the town of Alba, home of the prized white truffle, and the hills of Asti Moscato. A splendid view of the terraced hills and a visit to the magnificent villages of Barbaresco, Neive and Treiso are worth a tour in this area, which also includes the Regional Wine Bar where you can taste the delicious Piedmontese wines.
